Thanks. Yeah, she was nearing 2,5yrs and had been on heart meds for CHF for close to 8mths. I got way more time with her than I expected to be honest, but it's never enough time :ratsad:

@  lollyh : (03 January 2018 - 08:19 AM)

Oh no.i am sorry to hear that tails was talking about closing it down. :ratsad: I've made so many friends from here.

@  Caryn : (01 January 2018 - 05:32 PM)

@lollyh: Have you tried the temp link to access it via your computer? This one works for me now without any "deceptive site" warnings http://forums.internot.co.za/

@  Caryn : (01 January 2018 - 05:32 PM)

I'm not sure Tails is even around anymore :( She was talking about closing RN down altogether when they couldn't resolve the issue.

@  lollyh : (31 December 2017 - 09:11 AM)

Or can't tails start up a whole new forum &stake across all the email addresses...its a lot of hard work but could it work?

@  lollyh : (31 December 2017 - 09:03 AM)

@ roos & carny.i hope it's not the ending.ive been waiting so long to post stuff but can't on my iPad.i hope the forum gets resolved.totally agree with you caryn,Facebook is boring & soo soo depressing lately.the animal abuse posts arghh it's just awful.what about a ratanooga what's app group for all of us?

@  lollyh : (31 December 2017 - 08:58 AM)

A it late but Merry Christmas to all. *hugs* :tummykiss: .hope everyone had a blessed Christmas & a safe new year.

@  lollyh : (31 December 2017 - 08:56 AM)

@roos.i am sorry to hear about thunder :ratsad: he was .such a special boy.after All you had been through with him.you gave him the best life. *hugs*

@  lollyh : (31 December 2017 - 08:53 AM)

@roos.thank you swty.it was abut of a shock to me too.night before he was fine being his normal rattieroos self.,next morning I found him having what I can only think was a siezer.he bounced back.i had him on my lap for an hour then he lefted his head to me & then past in my hands.was so quick,I couldn't quite believe that he had passed.

@  Caryn : (30 December 2017 - 11:26 AM)

No one can access the forum via the normal address. I have to access it via a temp link and even then I get warnings. So yeah, unless that ever gets resolved, new people and old that don't have the temp link are going to be kicked out due to hacker warnings. Sadly, everyone is on FB groups these days anyway. And those FB groups suck!

@  Rattieroos : (30 December 2017 - 11:16 AM)

So is this goodbye to Ratanooga??? :bigeyerat: :puppy_dog_eyes: End of an era :ratsadlook:

@  Rattieroos : (20 December 2017 - 09:19 PM)

RIP my special Thunder boy, you did so well in the end. Go to your wife and only ever cage mate you were happy with. Run on good legs and have a healthy heart with no horrible calcification around your ribs. My baby boy I will miss you lying on me and such an honor that you only wanted me in the end. :bigeyecry:

@  Rattieroos : (20 December 2017 - 09:13 PM)

Ok so there are a few of us left. Good. @ Lolly, I’m so sorry about Nougies and Winston. Came as a shock when I read Winston’s name.

@  Rattieroos : (20 December 2017 - 09:11 PM)

Hi everyone.

so i have one of rat sitting furbabies staying with me at the one & poor Claude had a bit of a rough time after his brother die a month back.

he just went down hill, not a good chest but mainly dehydration, possibly liver failure & an eye infection. but he is all better now & back to his old self.

so according to his owner dr O suggested putting him on milk thistle liver tonic to flush out all the toxins.it is the one who can purchase at clicks.

is this good for ratties? especially older ratties? has anyone got or had their ratties on it?

any feed back will be much appreciated.

big hugs all.. *hugs*

Dr O had one of my previous ratties Pecan on it.  She had liver failure and it did offer her some assistance at the time.  I haven't had reason to use it again since then, as it is primarily a product that assists with liver function.  But yes, this could be beneficial to any older animal.

It is perfectly safe to use in rats in the correct quantity.  It is also used in other pets.

We used milk thistle for one of our rats a long time ago, also prescribed by the vet. It should hopefully help detox. Sending goodvibes.
