I will study up on how to identify males and females if I decide to go that route. smile.gif I was a bit concerned that the petstore I went to had lots of rats together - there was even a litter of kittens with a few in a separate area (not sure whether ratshops ever breed rats intentionally, but not a good sign if they don't!). I'm going to check out the ratteries first though. Going to see Rebecca's ratties first. yogie2.gif

Welcome welcome!

I'm so excited for you! Getting rats is an awesome prospect smile.gif

Just a word on the Pet Shop vs. breeder rats. The breeders have some beautiful babies and I'm often very jealous of those beautiful Dumbo ears ratcutelaugh.gif but I have only ever had petshop rats and they've been awesome! Personality wise I couldn't have asked for better, but the health issue has been a big heartsore for me in the last while, although i suppose it often comes with age regardless.

I would vouch for supporting the breeders, because they do it for the love of it and take great care in looking after their babies. They'll also give you excellent support (or so I've heard), but don't feel to against buying petshop babies, they all deserve a better life smile.gif

Errh... I don't think I helped tongue.gif but Welcome any way!!! rolleyes.gif

All this for Lily, Disya and Dima.

My beautiful boys. Always remembered. Always loved.
